The 7 P’s to Success…
“Prior Preparation and Planning Produces Prolific Perfect Performance”
It has come to my awareness how important it is to prepare for a journey into meditation. In order to have the most beneficial experience a person needs to be prepared. It is not a quick fix. I discovered something extremely valuable recently regarding offering to share my gifts regarding meditation. I was invited to do a guided meditation in a group setting.
Somehow I thought the people coming to the event had prior knowledge of the process or at least had their own process and were regular meditators; I now believe they did not. I would have liked to prepare them more for the experience. I gave them only a brief explanation of terms and some information on the energy body; I felt rushed and that is not the best way to begin. I was informed that some people just wanted to get in and out, they were busy and didn’t want to spend ALL afternoon on this. That is when I realized more education was warranted.
Had I known that at the outset; I wouldn’t have done it that way. But on the other hand, I wouldn’t have learned from that experience and this article wouldn’t have been written. There is always a silver lining to every experience!
Although the participants may or may not have received all the benefits of guided meditation, for a first experience it was fine. It helped them to become familiar with the process. But I declared that I would never assume where people are at in the future.
Anyone involved in a guided meditation by me, will have to be properly informed, educated about the process and what to expect. It is very important for people to have an understanding of the energy body and how it works etc. This cannot be done thoroughly in one session. This is such a beautiful tool for us to use and I cannot stress enough the importance of taking the time to prepare properly. If you do, the experience can have such incredibly positive results.
I do want to point out however that you do not need a guide to meditate. A guided meditation with other people can be a rather profound experience though. It can activate so much positive energy and when that comes together in the room, the experience is amazing. Having a guide is helpful to keep you on track and especially when you are first starting out, it is nice to have someone else in the room. Someone who has already had practice at meditating can help you to understand your experience.
It is for that reason that I was willing to guide the meditation and it is why I am sharing with you now. To learn more please visit the other articles and links on this website. Thank you so much for your interest!
